TASHI CEULEMANS is a Tibetan Belgian American screenwriter and director with a background in photography. Born in Kathmandu, Nepal, to Tibetan parents, she was adopted and raised in Brussels, Belgium. Fluent in both French and English, Tashi developed a passion for photography during a high school exchange year in Easton, Pennsylvania.

After returning to Brussels, she studied film at INRACI and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Photography from La Cambre (ENSAV). Tashi spent over a decade working in New York City’s film and video industry, primarily in the camera department. During this time, she collaborated with industry professionals, gaining invaluable experience while honing her skills as a screenwriter and filmmaker.

In 2024, Tashi made her directorial debut with Did You Hear the Screams?, a short film she wrote and produced. The film delves into the choices we make in disturbing situations, exploring the tension between the comfort of everyday life and the hidden dangers that threaten to disrupt it.

Currently based in Brussels, Tashi is undertaking an artist residency at L’Escaut, where she is working on her second short film, Résidence. In parallel, she is developing An American in Brussels, a feature film project that has already received early praise for its script.
